Been looking for these to drop in price. Alot more capable than the standard ELM327 (Think ABS, SRS, Manuf. specific codes, etc.) Normally goes for $80 on amazon. Use with Car Guage Pro on android: has enhanced ford, mazda, gm capability. https://www.scantool.net/obdlink-mxbt/ use coupon code: earlybird33 in cart.

This is a great unit and a great price. Their app works really well for diagnosis as well

For anyone doing basic PCM codes the BAFX dongle on amazon is much cheaper and works well. I've been using it for a while but have been looking to upgrade to the MX for more capability

I thought these Gadgets all had access to the same info?

Sure it will access the same OBDII information. this is just a higher quality device, the App that comes with it, and only works with the MX device is also much better than the cheap dongles (much easier to use and has a much better diagnosis/logging features)

I also use mine when I do AutoX to record car information onto my data logger and it has a good fast data stream for that.

Out of the box a basic ELM327 cannot access all of the information that the OBDLink MX does. With some modification/soldering it may be able to, this is especially pertinent to Ford & Mazda. Here is a link with the rundown of mods necessary to access medium speed bus with an ELM 327 http://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4
