O'Boy it Works

I just picked this up on Craigslist for $35.00

The seller was adamant it did not work. He mentioned his father was the original owner and did not use it much.

Aside from the front wheels being seized it appears to be functional.

I think he just did not know how to use it as the modern jacks seems to pump during their full range of motion. I noticed the pump "plunger" and sure enough it lifted. It required a bit of load to lower but a few hours in the shop and it will perform as new.

It works under load fine. Kind of small and low capacity for truck work but it does work fine.

I was able to free up the front wheels so it roles around fine.

Today's score for $75.00

Works well and supposedly rebuilt hydraulics a few years ago.

Is there any way to date these? Perhaps by serial number or some other means?

It is a straight handle not tee style and has a steel release knob.

Kind of small and low capacity for truck work but it does work fine.

Add a good size 4x6 block on top of the pad.

Disassemble all pivot point, clean and lube. It should last another 50 years.
