The single stage, 3 cyl, 5hp, 60 gal is back. They are still calling it a 2 stage on the HF paperwork but not on the compressor. One change is the tank is now marked 165 max, just like the 2 stage. The sales guy said he had a real IMC 2 stage in the back. After so many years a documumentation error becomes false advertising. They have to know. Who mskes that 3 cyl? I looked at the 25" breaker bar that " matches Snap On and Matco" The finish was flawless, made in Taiwan but the swivel was very loose on all of them. Not a defect but not my preference. The soft handle is not the best if you ever use a cheater pipe. I was looking at the US made Proto 24" but several Amazon reviewers said theirs were slightly bent. Anybody here see that? The Pittsburgh Pro SAE deep impacts are now made in China and have a sort of weird shiny finish. The 3 ft pry bar is now made in India. I passed on the last 3. I picked up the 1250 lumen, 4 D cell lantern and that sucker is BRIGHT. It is rubber padded and feels pretty beefy. Good for when the power goes, out until I get the generator going. I picked up the Gordon folding utility knife for $3.99. I picked up 4 small movers dollies to put under my fake, plastic 1/2 barrel planters. The first ones fell apart because I did not remove the rug or coat them. To make them fit for outside I will take off the rug and coat with deck stain. Paint might be better. Not sure. Paint peals and deck stain has to be redone. Any thoughts? Looks not a priority. Never got to use my 20 off coupon. Everything I looked at was cheaper for "Spring Black Friday". No combining allowed even though they were not Super Coupons. I asked.

They still sell the Taiwan deep sockets. They just get sell out as fast as they're stocked because they're so much better than the Chinese sets.

Were the Pittsburgh Pro ratchets stocked? Ever since the Icon tools started coming out they've been scarce in my store. The 3/8 roto-ratchet has been MIA for months, I had to grab one in another town while I was on a business trip.

I think you miss the point. Anyone here that follows HF knows that there can be major differences between what HF sells as the same product, coming from different suppliers. They can vary from very good to junk. On the other hand you can pay far more than a product is worth off a truck to insure consistent quality. The Taiwan impact sockets are as good as any at a very low price. It must have been embarrassing to see an HF $20 breaker bar go head to head with a $160 Snap On. There isn't that much technology in a piece of steel rod. The 5hp IMC is a good home compressor, made with a US tank, Mexican made Century motor and a decent Italian pump. Many here have gotten good service from it. I only know that the 3 cylinder is a single stage for the same money and have no idea where it comes from. It is no trick to buy the highest priced item you can find and sneer at those buying selectively and getting good service from their purchases.

No I understood you quite well.. to me when you buy cheap what would you expect to get? High quality? Lol to me if you get anything better then cheap you got a bonus at a cheap price. Do you expect quality at a cheap price? I'm never disappointed at something good for cheap, the disappointment is getting **** for a high price.

primer then truck bed liner or under body coating. Might need to experiment with the primer, some of the dollies have some sort of coating on them already.

Hell you could spray plasti dip on them. Maybe that's the best way to go.
