That's really amazing. Someone actually drove the truck in that condition. The front rim is rolled down to a smooth cone...

I was amazed at the amount of wear on that front wheel too…. It must have been interesting to watch it handle.

The renter should be banned from ever driving again!

Yeah, it's insane what a lot of people call driving these days. Just yesterday on my way to work I was going down the road, and the lane ends so I tried to get over to the left, but 10 cars were all tailgating each other super tight. I had no room to merge over. Finally, after a minute or so, a silver Ford Focus must've had a lapse in his unreason and a 2-second gap opened up so I merged over.

He promptly sped up and got on my ***. I was 3 seconds behind the truck in front. Then another turning lane developed on the right. Focus driver proceeds to hit the gas and go over quickly to that lane then rushes up to the intersection (passing all of us) and turns without signaling. And of course, the dude has a smartphone in his hands atop the steering wheel texting.

Ugh. No wonder tens of thousands of people die in the USA alone every year in car "accidents". I guess the rate was hovering at about 20k a year but went up sharply this last year to about 40k deaths a year in the USA. Mostly due to emptier highways, so people feel they can drive even more recklessly.

The dude who rented that truck probably ran over fasteners and was too lazy/stupid to pull over and call Home Depot for roadside assistance.

The clerk probably was like "Hey! Wait a minute! Did you sweep out the bed? I think I see some debris back there! Nope, I was wrong, it's fine. Have a nice day!"

There was a HD rental truck with a loaded car dolly behind it this weekend. It was weaving all over the place so I stayed back until there was enough room to blast past it. Just waiting for it to fiahtail out of control. Lots of scary drivers out last weekend!!

~15 years ago when I worked third shift receiving at HD someone rented our truck to take their furniture back in a domestic gone wrong. They backed it through a garage door (or garage turned living space) and loaded up all their stuff. We had already called the police because the truck was 3 hours overdue and the store was closing (10 pm on a Friday). The city police of course got the call someone backed a HD truck through a house so they were already on the lookout for it.

And you guys remember the ISIS wannabe guy a few years back who rented one and went on a terror down a bike path? Hope he's getting driven every day in prison.
