Hi all I have the craftsman 3 piece: http://www.sears.com/craftsman-3-pc-pry-bar-set-in-tray/p-00943278000P and 31 inch pry bar http://www.sears.com/craftsman-31-in-curved-blade-pry-bar-red/p-00943285000P. I also have a mayhew 42: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002UNR94/?tag=atomicindus08-20 . For months I have been hoping to get a deal on one of these: http://www.sears.com/craftsman-36-in-screwdriver-pry-bar/p-00943286000P Yes its the 36 that goes in between the 31 and 42. I snagged it yesterday for $19.91 usiong 30% off and some points. Our local sears hardware is having a inventory reduction sale/going out of business then becoming a sears outlet sale. Do I really need a 36 to go between the 31 and 42. For some reason I had to have it. I justified it because there is a 11 inch differance between 31 and 42. Bet I didnt need it but darn I wanted it and finally got it.

I have the 3 piece pry bar set. Mine's all rusted up though. I have beat mine up pretty good, but I was disappointed with the rust.
Yeah the need something on them. My 36 left my hands black w/ a oily residue. Once you clean that film of oil off theres no rust protection.

36" is the proper size for lifting a kitchen range... It will not fit well in the drawer under a standard 30" kitchen range; so it should be kept either in the broom closet or the shop.. ;)

90% of my pry bar needs are satisfied with a 24" Snap On bar. The rest require a 36" and sometimes a BFH. But you did say you wanted, not needed it, so...

You can never have too many pry bars!

I keep an 18", 36", and a 60" in my truck just in case. Sometimes I need the 60" and someone will ask, "why the hell do you have that in your truck?" I'll usually just say, "We're using it now aren't we?" They don't really say anything about it after that.

I have Snap-On pry bars in 8", 12", 18", and 24"; a Matco 18"; Mayhew 36"; and probably about ten Richards pry bars from 8" to 24". Just got a 36" wrecking bar and want a longer Mayhew. Gotta agree that you can never have too many!

I have a set of 4 craftsman red handle prybars on my cart and one 36 inch in the main box along with other prybars from different brands. the craftsmans are the ones I use most. excellent value plus made in usa. the rust issue happened to mine as well. sprayed them with a rust neutralizer then painted with black rustoleum professional spray paint. will see how they hold up.

You already bought it....
It no longer matters if you need it or not....you have it

What I do when I buy something I wanted but didn't need....go use it on something to justify the purchase....
Go use that pry bar to adjust the position of the coffee table or something like that...then look at the wife and say....wow, I am so glad I bought this, one project done.
