I have an old Proto 6064-2 torque wrench that I bought awhile back and I can't find anything other than they exist about them. Specifically, I'd like to know the torque range. If anyone with knowledge of that model could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. A link to a manual would be to die for.

Thanks.

Not trying to be smart, but couldn't you look at the torque wrench to determine the torque range?

The gauge doesn't necessarily determine the torque range. Many gauges run both higher and lower than the range of the tool.

6064-2 is micrometer head torque wrench, so there is no gauge.

And what dial torque wrench allows you to continue going past the max torque number and stays in tolerance spec?

Lower than the range means there is a higher chance the torque will be out of the ANSI tolerance spec.

Check ebay with 6064-2 and look at live and complete auctions to see the torque range

What I referred to as a gauge should probably be referred to as a scale. I don't think the wrench is necessarily rated as accurate for the full range of the scale. Then again, I may be misinformed. I have ways of checking it against other things for accuracy. I would just like to be confident that I'm asking it to do what it's designed to do and that I'm storing it at its lowest range.

I couldn't find a 6064-2, but did find two examples of a 6064-5. The torque range varies between each listing.

J6064C 40-200 in lb *current model
6064-2 30-200 in lb *linked by 66HertzClone
6064-5 10-150 in lb (eBay listing)
6064-5 40-200 in lb (KB Tools listing) *calibration paperwork shows 10-200 in lb
