OD Green PROTO Tool Box / Cabinet - Your thoughts before I pull the trigger.

Old PROTO tool box/cabinet I found for sale. Seller wants $40 for it and it's a 2 hour round trip for me to get it. Any thoughts? Sorry for the limited photos, it's all I have to work with as well.




One of the orange boxes and the yellow box are still available for $25 a piece. No info on these guys, seller isn't really interested in providing specifics. I'm in dire need of affordable storage so this would definitely be a good start since I have the space to accommodate these boxes.

I would take the orange boxes first. I love & have vintage roll aways, but that Proto looks pretty banged up and for some reason that PROTO badge just don't look right. $25.00 on the Proto cab.

Only one orange box is left for sale, the 2 drawer yellow is as well. Those are fairly priced at $25 each, and I didn't plan on haggling. I did try my best to get the Proto Cab for $20 about a week ago, but no dice.

I'll need to bring a truck (mine is on the repair to do list) for the roll away boxes, I just don't think there's any chance of me squeezing those things into the Hyundai...

That Proto box is fairly modern. We have a box set in our shop at work with the same badging, and I am sure it is less than 20yrs old.

It would be worth the trip to pick up the yellow and orange cabinets, imo. The Proto box looks a bit too rough for $40.
