Odd Allstate Service Jack. WTF is it?

My buddies Uncle passed away earlier this year and he has been cleaning out his place. He came across a jack.....and he tried to describe it to me. I thought HE was confused. Sent me these pics....now I'm confused.

Allstate 1 1/2 ton (sold by Sears.,...like a LOT of his uncles stuff).



The tag is a bit rough. I can read "No. 1239" and "model 727........" but the rest is fuzzy



Trans jack? Bumper jack? What do you guys think?

Yup, bumper jack...Dad had one, close to that type in our garage, when I was a pre-teen.
