Yup, I believe the motor is under the table or behind it. Runs off a v-belt. I had one similar to that, except not Craftsman branded.

IIRC, those levers rotate the guards to keep sparks from flying out the front.

My father has one. It's actually a nice grinder if you don't mind the detached motor and v-belt.
