Odd Craftsman Code

I originally posted this on lauver's Craftsman code thread, but it didn't seem to get any responses so I am hoping that it might get more attention here.

I found this craftsman socket with a 7 code which according to the chart means easco stainless and lifetime ratchets but it doesn't say anything about sockets, there is also no made in USA marking either. Any ideas?

I don't have any photos handy but this is part of the "Stainless" socket set. The sockets weren't actually stainless but the ratchets were. That socket originally had a plastic band around the bottom with the size in white. They were first available in 1987 and sold through the early 90s.

Oh, I have a set of those I think. 3 different ratchets, metric sockets and sae sockets. The numbers come off the black plastic pretty easy, and I guess the plastic does too.

I have a little one of those with a number 4 for the code and haven’t been able to find info on it so I am glad I found it was a stainless one.
