odd fastener encountered on valve adjustment

Doing a valve adjustment on a Case SR220 skid steer and the adjustment screws were new to me. Looked like the end of a screwdriver, just a 1/8" flat piece sticking up out of the screw. Now I'm looking for a tool to adjust these valves because doing it with a small adjustable wrench was a royal pain in the ***. Anyone have any info on what type of fastener this is? Or where to find a tool? I'll ask my snap on guy on Thursday if nobody knows, but I didn't find anything in the catalog.

I've seen them before, I just used a 6pt socket (can't remember the size) on a driver handle. I'm sure there is an appropriate tool but I have never found the need for it.

Just make an inverse screwdriver from a worn out donor unit. For as little use it will get you will be fine.

sounds like a make a tool time, if its just a slot should be easy enough. if im picturing it correctly, i would sacrifice a 1/4 square drive nut driver (the kind you put sockets on) so it already has a handle

they make several all in one wrenches with the screw driver...we used to call them "poly-locks" where you have to loosen/tighten the outside nut, while maintaining position with the screwdriver portion.

I have ground down a cheap box end wrench to do mine. The Case setup is fairly common, as it is easy to set or adjust.

I might just buy a nut driver like was mentioned from harbor freight or something. Not willing to do that to my snap on even though I've only used it once in the past 2 years...

I remember my Dad using a tool similar to this. Not sure if it would work for your application. I think Facom made them.

Yeah, I wish I had taken a picture. The boss needed it done fast so it could go back out on rental, so I couldn't waste any time. I'll see if I can find one online though.
