Odd posting order on threads

I've noticed that posts are not sorted chronologically. Some posts have numerical DD-MM-YYYY + HH:MM time stamp format and other posts have "Yesterday HH:MM" or "Today HH:MM" format. The numerical formatted posts sort first and the alphabetically tagged posts follow. Odd.

Edit: I looked some more, and now I think that I'm mistaken. I should have let the coffee kick in before posting.
