Odd spark plug socket

Just bought a Snap On spark plug socket on ebay. didn't think much of checking the size, it was a good price and they're always useful. Now I've got it, I'm stumped its not listed in the catalog and its an odd size details as follows:

Snap on # S9727K
11/16" plug socket

what's it for? any ideas?

If it's like this one it's for Pratt Whitney Aircraft. 11/16 with rotating collar.

Nope, It looks like an every day chrome automotive spark plug socket. Date code indicates 1997 manufacture

The S9727K is a 3/8" drive 11/16" spark plug socket with a rubber insert to retain the plug.

Snap On notes that this socket is for use on plugs with 12MM threads and that common uses would be small engines , motorcycles , outboard marine motors , snowmobiles , lawn mowers and mopeds.
