Anyone recognize this style of screwdriver? Its a long shank standard 1/4" shaft, except with a short flat head end with odd tabs pressed in on both sides and a detent ball. The rear is standard 1/4" hex, with detent. Does it simply work with some sort of sockets, or something else?

I'm familiar with the style, as I have several sets from Forster and Wheeler...but it still doesn't really explain the pressed tabs or detent near the blade. It would make sense for the detent if you simply wanted to flip it flat portion and use the hex, except the tabs prevent it from sliding into the handle very far.
The opposite end is exactly like its shown in the last picture, just a 1/4" hex with detent.
