OK, bought a set of nice 3/8 drive metric and SAE sockets for my new box, and the set came with a few surprises. One, is this set of square bit drivers. I've been a tinkerer and restoration guy for almost 60 years now and never saw a place I could use one of these. The second picture is 2 more items. Both are marked 10mm. One is a triangle bit and the other has a square hole in the end. Again, baffled. What are they for?

Square drives are frequently used on pipe plugs.

ISTR that triangle drive used on some European tamper-resistant items. I think we used to have a large recycling bin in our lab that had one of those on the latch.

If you have a older truck you can use one of the square drive ones to open the rear differential to check the level of the fluid. You can also use them for small plumbing jobs in metal pipes. There weird for sure. I have 2 snapon ones the opposite of the ones you have just a square hole threw it all one is for a 1/2 and ones for a smaller size. No idea where I got them. Never used them yet but when I need to I have them!
