Odd vintage Klein pliers used for ?

This sits in a drawer at work, and no one has any idea what they're meant for. The date code indicates they were made in the first quarter of 1956

Dad retired from AT&T.

He has box full of Klein tools.

I'll see if he can identify. Back when ma bell was a monopoly they had specialty made tools. This may be one.

Im thinking they were used in wiring electrical boxes. I use angled long nose pliers to loop the end of a wire to screw in to a switch or an outlet.

Everyone I know says c clips but are those a common thing in electrical work?

we dont use c-clips in electrical work, they may be a pair of needle nose that were modified.u bend ur wires with strippers.30+ years as a union electrician.

these are my electrical tools, less hack saw. battery bandsaws are the new norm on site.

don't know if Klein made transmission pliers, but they look awfully similar to a pair of snap-on trans clip pliers I have from my ****** class in school...
