Oddball US Government tool box

Picked this stainless steel box up today for 5 bucks. This sucker is built like a brick outhouse. Weighs at least 20 pounds and is all stainless. I've googled but my google-fu isn't turning up anything. Any veterans recognize this? The only markings are what is stamped on it, Unirule Industries. Measures 21x8x7

They just don't make boxes like that in this country anymore :sad:

I thought I reconized that name, I spotted this place last year while doing vehicle inspections at the car dealerships across the street. The company is or was still there, I'd call and ask about the box, why not? here's their info:

I have two very similar boxes that I obtained about 40 years ago. One is painted flat gray and the other was painted green. I was told they came off a US Navy ship. Very heavy and robust.

looks about like the tool box i carried around the motor pool at ft hood texas from 1978 to 1981
