My day for odd stuff today.

I picked up 2 Bonney Sockets today, but the markings make no sense... :headscrat I also picked up a Proto that is also sort of weird.

The larger Bonney is 15/16 (not marked), and marked WT16, BONNEY, and 1/2 :wtf:

The smaller one is 11/32 (not marked), and marked WT4, BONNEY, and 1/8

Both are 12 pt and 3/8 drive.

The Proto, is a chromed 1/2" drive 6 pt socket, Mod. 5436-H, Marked "Proto USA Professional" but not a size to be seen. :headscrat I guess Pro's don't need sizes marked? :D

Any clue why the oddball size markings on the Bonneys? :dunno:

I could probably use some of those on a couple of old Raleigh bicycles that I have. There are some fasteners on these things that I just call "crescent/32'ds".

Was just looking up Whitworth on line. pretty bizarre to size a wrench to the shank of a bolt instead of its head...
