OEM Low Profile Sockets

Any experience with the OEM brand low profile socket sets?

I've been looking at the various options for low profile sockets and these seem to fit the bill the best.

Pros:
-12pt (I use 12pt and I don't deal with rust)
-Taiwan, not China (based on one review on Amazon)
-Fit my existing ratchets
-Includes 15mm and 13/16"
-Available in SAE
-Decent looking rails included
-Cheap

Cons:
-Not as low profile as a pass through style low profile socket
-No 19mm in the metric set

I've looked at the various options, and nothing really fits the bill as well.

-Snap on is more than I want to spend for a rarely used tool for me.
-Koken Zeal would be my first choice, but no SAE.
-Sunnex/Astro don't even offer a 17mm pass through ratchet to take advantage of their sockets, nor do I need/want "impact" sockets.
-PowerTorque (O'reilly's) SAE is spline, which I don't want.

These OEM sockets are super cheap, so not a big gamble, but I don't want to buy trash just because it's cheap.

I'm a fan, fit and finish seem good for what I was after.

I also bought their 3/8" drive metric ratchet & socket set, and received two 9mm deep (instead of a 9mm and a 10mm) and the 13mm has some imperfections that look like someone handled the socket with vise grips. I reached out to Great Neck, but couldn't get a response. Thankfully the sockets are inexpensive, but I'm not too confident that I'll have any better luck trying to warranty anything in the future. For the price point, I'll replace piece-by-piece with Tekton or Icon, Tekton being my first choice.

Have used them a few times since getting them last year. Usually on a low profile ratchet, when nothing else would fit. Would buy them again even if they collect dust most of the time.

I'm looking at various sites to see if I can help you. Other than the title/name saying "low profile," are there specific length specifications, eg 15mm long for a 10mm socket, that you can provide?

What's the advantage for you of 12-points?

Also, why not buy the Koken Z-EAL socket set for the metric sizes, then look for another firm for the SAEs?

decent made taiwan sockets with good design and decent off corner broaching .
I couldn't fault them for twice the price.
3/4 will cover the 19mm, would of liked it include a 19mm though as didn't really need the SAE set .

No specific dimensions, just looking for something that is specifically designed to be lower profile than your average "shallow" depth socket.

What's the advantage for you of 12-points?

It's hard to use 6pt sockets on 12pt fasteners. Really though, I use a bunch of 12pt fasteners on the offroad toys I work on.

I thought about this, but for some reason I'm more inclined to just buy matching sets. Also, I'd have to get them from Amazon Japan as I can't seem to find a good US retailer.

Snap On fits the bill, I just don't want to pay the bill......

You know, I never even thought about that. Funny part is I often grab a 3/4" and 19mm to see what fits the fastener better regardless of if I know its an SAE or MM.
