Does anyone know where to find the 1/4” and 1/2” sets of this? I’m having a hard time tracking anything down from OEM, it seem like their sets are all over the place. I would even go for all three drive sizes in the foam if they were somewhat uniform, need these for my truck tool box, please help.

Autozone sells OEM on their commercial side go into a store that has a commercial program (most stores do) and ask to see their commercial tool sales catalog.

mobiledistributorsupply.com has a large selection of OEMtools, check them out. the prices are reasonable, and their service is excellent.

Not to rain on your parade but, i haven't seen an exact set of shallow & deep sockets only offered in 1/4 or 1/2 drive from OEM.

I've seen a set of 1/4 drive deeps only in a foam set but not with shallow. OEM does have a nice 1/4 foam set but, it includes ratchet, extensions and a bit ratchet set in in a hard case.

Those are some of my favorite sockets with the knurling and satin finish.

Good luck in your quest.

I have a few OEM sockets. Really like them. But they are all over the place price wise and where to buy them.

Well, no luck in tracking down what I was looking for. I really like the knitting and satin finish, but unfortunately it’s next to impossible to track down sets. I ended up with Triton sets 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2”. All sets come with 90tooth ratchets and extensions, will post what I think when I get them.

OEM tools is a division of Great Neck Saw that I always thought was sort of a low end economy brand. They own Sheffield and Buck Bros. that also are cheaper stuff. Is OEM worth going out of your way to find?

In terms of "features" a socket has, their sockets certainly check most of the "quality" feature boxes and do things a lot of companies do not. Plus, they seem to always be dirt cheap on amazon. Can't comment on their actual build quality tho, haven't bought any....yet

Excellent point, and I'm distrustful of a company that uses a brand name of "OEM". That's an obvious con.

Their shallow sockets are a favorite around this forum, specially at the <$20 price range. I need to pick up a set myself, thanks for the reminder ;)

No, but I don’t consider going to Autozone, going out out of my way. I liked the compactness of the deep and shallow sets, love the kneeling and satin look and the price was decent too. All of those features lend well to a work truck atmosphere. I ended up with Tekton stuff but didn’t need the ratchets, extension etc. To each their own on what tools fulfill their needs, I just happen to think OEM and Great Neck are great for a work truck that’s easily broken in to.
