More idiotic to put words into someone's mouth for the purpose of picking a fight where none exists.
Mostly because I'm not doing what you accuse me of doing.
I never accused you of any such thing. I was making a broad statement.

Mine seems to have nice threads going for it. I hope I never have to find out how good it is or isn't.Regarding the ball joint press... I have personally used the EverTough set, rented from a local parts store. I NEEDED to abuse it to get the job done. Abuse meaning I saw it, the c-frame, bend and needed to continue. The threads of the driving screw ended up mangled a bit, although still would thread. Yes, I did lubricate the driving screw, I never intend on causing damage to tools even when they are not mine. I also used a Harbor Freight set. It was similar in the the c-frame bent. OEMTools does not make or even design their kit. Whatever it is they sell is the same as the brands I mention, and rebranded.
I live in Wisconsin, still in the rust belt edges. My experience comes with the joy of trying to find the retaining ring/clip that holds the ball joint in. My experience would have me never using any other product, just get the Astro kit. The experience of others might differ, but my experience is clear in my eyes.Mine seems to have nice threads going for it. I hope I never have to find out how good it is or isn't.
I already have this OEM one so I'll have to at least fail it first. Ironically I bought it because I was tired of always borrowing from AZ. By the time I finally bought one I didn't need it again. I hear that. The tools I have from OEMTools all seem to meet expectations. I am not trying to bash the brand. There are however some tools they sell, like all other brands, that are just not up to the task in my opinion. My thread here was to get the experiences of others with the brand.
