There has never been a discussion about the technology bt the red or blue vs everlast. There's only been discussion about customer service and result of the products.
The only thing that ppl say about the everlast product is that there's not a lot of support for repair/maintenance if it goes wrong.
Everyone will agrees that everlast will perform like the red or blue if not better. everlast is a fraction of a cost of the red or blue.
The decision is not hard.

ive used the eastwood tig welder before, it was alright but honestly i would try and find a used miller/ hobart or lincoln or esab off craigslist, so atleast you can get replacement parts of fixed if anythign happens, or if you ever decide to sell it, might get some money back. the whole set up just felt kind of cheap and toy-like, which for 800, i wouldve expected slightly more.the guy that bought it ended up buying a lincoln about a yr later, because he "outgrew it". ive never used an everlast but reviews for them seem to be people either being indifferent about them or absolutely hating them which when im spending a decent amount of money, i dont want to be second guessing myself while waiting for it to be delivered.
All I can say is that I would urge you to look at the used market of industrial tig machines.
Other brands to consider are Thermal Arc and HTC.
Use a Miller, Lincoln or Thermal Arc, then try one of the off brand units. Like Stooge said.

I have an Everlast and while I'm not very good at it I've been happy with it.
