Having a few properties to maintain has its challenges, but also requires the purchase of tools and equipment. So I'm looking for a good quality dump trailer, one that won't tear up the grass, hold up to a yard of material. Hydraulic dump would be nice, fully dumps out, using a 10 cu ft one now and have to shovel 1/2 of our out. I like the ones that use the tractor hydraulics, but then you have to hook and unhook so a 12 volt system would be better.
Ideally would like to set up with a garden tractor or s x s to work with tractor or small excavator. 4 x 6 or 7 wirth dual axle, hold about 2k would be prefect. The usual Google search turns up a bunch but was hoping for some real reviews by actual users, I'm sure there must be a few good ones out they're, price is relative, is rather pay for good and not settle. So let's see what you guys have, thanks.

I did a quick search of ag dump trailer because farmers some like compaction or getting stuck. This popped up. Looks nice. No experience with it though. The hand winch could be replaced with an electric. Not sure how high it goes so I'm not sure if it would empty all loads completely

I have an earlier model of that Woodland Mills trailer. It's useful for what it is. I can fill it full of wood chips from a PTO chipper and use a SxS to haul it around to dump. Or fill it with branches to carry to where they can be piled for chipping, or move firewood rounds.

It raises high enough to dump all the contents. The hand crank works fine for as much weight as it's supposed to carry.

Drawbacks: the "galvanizing" was so poor that it's rusted in a lot of places in only a few years. The new model's paint/powder coat is hopefully better. The rear door has to be removed to dump and it's heavy. Maybe the new design fixes that too. Other than that it's fine. The walking beam suspension works better than it seems like it should.

I think the OP is looking for something a little larger.

Wow, never have seen anything like that. Thanks for sharing.

I have a home built northern tool aluminum 40x48 trailer that I outfitted with a 5/4 wood deck and stake side boards with more 5/4 deck boards on the lower side to make a rudimentary removable hopper. Pulls great behind the atv's even fully loaded, but a dumping feature with that walking axle might be the ticket for use out in the woods compared to just a straight slipper spring axle like I have.

I built a trailer w/ our son for my tractor a while back; it hooks to my 3 point hitch so will dump when I raise that sufficiently. I used a couple of surplus golf cart wheels w/ about 1k lb rating each, and 4 lug trailer hubs. 1.5" square tube, 2x 6 floor. Holds 2k lbs easily. Not exactly what you're looking for, but a simple enough project. It gets a lot of use around here hauling firewood, gravel for paths & roads, etc. Not a difficult welding project.

This was my solution for moving dirt and rocks around on my farm. It's an old 1961 GMC D860 with a Detroit 671 with a 5speed trans and a 2 speed rear with air brakes. Bought it for 5k, runs/drives and dumps. I've bought new tires and wheels for it and going to be pulling it into my shop soon to start tearing the cab apart to paint it, redo all the rats nest wiring and put controls in the cab for dumping and engaging the pto pump.

Unfortunately I need something to fit in right spaces, don't want to tear up the turf if I can help it. Just did a dry well with a 10 cu ft cart and it doubled the time, but saved the lawn. A little bigger with hydraulic dump and turf tires is really what I'm looking for.

I would use the **** out of a little dump trailer like that if it had road-legal tires. 3k capacity and small enough to tow behind a crossover/small SUV is great

I found a company in Florida that makes one like that, no local dealers and the shipping was pretty high. So far I like this one, even has the double gate.

Understood, I'm working on a little larger scale with the amount of dirt to move....

This is the dirt we dug out of my pond that I need to relocate around the farm filling in wash out areas and rehab those areas.

That's going to sink like a rock if you put 2k in it. Ok, maybe not that bad, but if the terrain you are driving across is soft, I think you would do better with tandem axles and more flotation.

Yea, I agree, really need tendem with turf tires, plus I already have a dump trailer for on road. So far the king kutter looks like the best option and easy to convert to 12 volt.

After a little searching I think I lucked out and found a used trailer in good condition. Not sure how old, but it's been sitting for years, lots of surface rust in the box. The good part, not a single Sent, all the parts are there and it can go right to work. What I really like is the box is made with 12ga and the frame is heavy duty, 600lbs for a small trailer.

The other nice feature is the sides and back panel can be removed if needed. Going to clean up and lube it today, but I think I will convert it to electric hydraulic pump right away, I see the hand pump getting old quick.

Awesome!

Pop up camper tires and new bearings might make it a nice rig for dump run or picking up mulch

That's back breaker... jars your back out of place running over my rough terrain....
That’s why I wouldn’t give up my Kubota MX. Yep, a skid can run circles around it, but I can see and air down the tires. I wish they’d make a Smaller M class tractor in hydro (be a frame or two larger than my tractor); I would buy it in heart beat. Maybe one of those mini pay loaders would be the answer for some things.

I've got a 63 john deere 4010 in my shop that has a front end loader and many 3pt attachments, but it's currently in a bajillion pieces in my shop being rebuilt. I work on it when the weathers bad or I have time from other projects. I'm working on sand blasting and painting the wheel weights and rear center sections right now so I can get them on the tractor and roll that section around with my cherry picker as needed.

Just received the new 12 volt hydraulic pump, should make life easier. Bought off Amazon, never bought anything from vevor so hopefully it's not junk. The reviews were all good, came packed really well and looks good plus it's heavy. Now just need some time to get it done.

Little by little in getting the parts together for the 12 volt hydraulic conversion. Just picked up a tongue box of Amazon to put the pump and battery into. Just need a little time now to get to work on it. Also tried a little clean up and paint, testing out the hf spray on liner, so fast looks good.

A little update, finally hooked up the 12v hydraulic pump and batteryand got to test it out. The body goes up and down quick and smooth. Now just have to bolt everything down and change the oil. Not sure if I'll have time to paint, might be a winter project.
