"Off road" MIG cart

OK, I knew my cart was more or less junk when I bought it, but unpack and use had some serious attraction at the time.

I would like to see some pictures of MIG carts that will actually roll and stay upright somewhere besides on a freshly swept and polished concrete floor.

I need something that will support a Miller 180 and a medium gas cylinder, along with the immediately necessary accessories, helmet, gloves, etc. Secure mounting for the ground cable and gun would be a big plus.

I take this one out in the yard from time to time. It's just a standard Lincoln cart that I upgraded with "off road" wheels and tires. I just pull up on the handle so the front casters are off the ground and drag it out on the back wheels.

I've got a Harbor Freight cheapie but it doesn't roll for ****. Maybe those bigger tires would help. Thanks for the idea.

Trade the MM180 for a Passport or Passport Plus, then you can carry it

Harbor freight welding cart. Bought larger tires and casters. Rolls over air hoses and extension cords with ease. Probably taller then you're looking for though.

Big pneumatic wheels mounted to a "drop axle" so that the center of gravity is a low as possible (CG below the axle would be ideal, but probably not achievable).

Also, design it so that it can roll on only 2 wheels (think 2 wheel wheelbarrow or 2 wheel hand cart).

How off-road do you need?
Look in some larger lawn tractor bone yard for the front tires from a lawntractor
Should be easy enough to fab it up

Actually that isn't a bad start !

Even bigger rear wheels and tires (10-12") and add a pair of "handles" that stick out the front (right). Similar to a 2 wheel wheelbarrow.
