Office in pole barn

So, my 30 by 50 pole barn is up. Still waiting on my garage doors. In the meantime, I want to plan on framing out a 10 by 16 office space along the back wall. My questions are as follows:

1. How should I attach the walls to the 6x6 posts? Frame the walls into the space between the posts and have the posts be a part of the surface the drywall attaches to?

2. How should I insulate the walls, being that I am in Florida...?

3. I plan to make the ceiling load bearing for loft storage, so would 2x6's at 16 on center be right?

4. Lastly, I want to do a window style a/c units framed into the wall to make it suitable for a summer retreat. Any suggestions on those units for efficiency and low cost?

Thanks as always, this forum has the most squared away members!!

I am working on my office now, i have it pretty much done as far as framing and sheathing goes, still need to drywall the interior, I also wanted to store stuff on the ceiling so i did just as you described.. 2x6 framing between the posts with the posts being flush with the framing, i did insulate with R-19 batts but i am in the northeast.

A number of years ago I had a pole barn constructed, not knowing what I was getting into as far as finishing off the interior. I wound up framing in between the poles and insulating all the way to the exterior wall. As far as installing an storage area above, my current shop project I opted to go with engineered joist's (I joists). They have far greater load bearing capacity, and lighter weight, not to mention they are inexpensive. Look up I joist span charts on the web to determine the size you will need. Good Luck with your build!!

I plan on having the a/c vent into the garage, so there will be no opening on that sidewall and minimizes security breaches. The air will only be on from time to time, not 24/7.

I'd love to see pics of other's offices similar to mine.

A version but my office is in front at the walk door. Some remodel since these pics were taken.

Just asking here, but you do know it'll create warm air that'll make the shop warmer?

I'm not sure if you know that or not, just making you aware.
