I don't have a picture, but I'm building one in my shop too. My shop has 12-foot ceilings. I made the wall studs in my office 7-foot tall. With the sill plate and the top two tie plates, that leaves my office ceiling 7'6". Obviously, it's shorter than standard. However, all I'll do in my office is sit at my desk and type. I'll have book shelves for reference material, bathroom counter cabinets for storage, and a footlocker/chest for my camera equipment. I don't need a lot of head room.
The benefit of this is that cutting the wall studs down a foot gives me an extra foot of clearance for the storage loft above the office. Above the office, I left the roof trusses exposed, so I can stand up and walk around up there (ducking between the trusses as needed). Not ideal, but I now have a 10x10 storage loft above the office, that's just a little inconvenient to walk around in, but I'll take it. It'd also be a good place to stash a water heater, A/C handler, etc.
