I ordered the Wright scrapers last year and am glad that I did. They saved my **** on a few projects.

This year I tried to buy only in-stock items, but that plan failed when I remembered that I missed an item during SK Day. So I already know that there will be a small delay on my order until they get a shipment from SK. I'm good with it.

Quick note for everyone pondering when their order might arrive. On Monday, after the Epstein's Day weekend, we went through all the orders and placed a number of large orders with Wright and SK for all the stuff we didn't currently stock. Those orders should be arriving early next week. Once we get those in, we will go full steam filling everything that is left and getting boxes out the door.

Anything that gets back ordered we will notify you and let you know the expected delivery time. I don't worry at all about Wright in terms of backorders. I am told SK is operating much better now. Either way, someone here at Epstein's will personally contact you if there is a problem.

If you don't mind me asking, have you found that you needed the whole set usually just one size? As I only could buy the 1.5 inch size this time, but I am wondering if this would make sense to buy the other sizes down the road.

I placed my second order as I forgot to order more USA made SK wrench racks. I know Ernst is likely the OEM for these, but I like the SK version much better. Mostly because I can support Epstein's this way hehe. My plan was only to buy those wrench racks, but then I realized I forgot other items as well.

I spent some money on Epstien Day, but every product I bought was 100% American made and is going to a family owned business. This is their right to do so, but I know some people who spend hundreds on Apple products and other items that aren't likely going to be around for more than a couple of years at best.

Most of the time I use one (which isn't often), it's on a smaller surface, so I use the 1" scraper. But it is good to have the 1.5" for larger surfaces when needed. I don't ruin nearly as many cheap screwdrivers as I used to now. :)

I was happy to receive my Epstein's day order today. :bounce:

Even though I didn't qualify for any of the SK, Wright or Armstrong giveaways I was surprised to see a free hat and offset screwdrivers in the box....but I am missing 4 of the 5 norseman 1/4" moly bits I ordered.

Jori, if my wife divorces me due to my tool addiction, can I move into to basement at HJE and box orders? I will work for tools, water and crackers. Seriously.... Thanks for the heads up on my order! Look forward to getting it in the mail!

Double check your packaging! Did yours have crumpled up butcher paper for packing material? My Norseman bits were in a little manila envelope that eluded my eye for quite some time. They blended in with the brown paper, I think.

Careful what terms you negotiate! They probably have some Civil Defense/fallout shelter crackers from 1958 somewhere in that basement, and they'll hand you an old used Czechoslovakian canteen.

Yes, check the packing. If it's not in there, let me know and I'll send the missing tools out tomorrow.

Sure. I'll make you a pallet on the floor. The basement's packed full with tools and we just installed a bathroom so you'll never have any reason to leave.

Got mine today. Some Wright to add to the drawer.

We're going to Disney soon. I get some bonus points with the daughter and therefore my wife with the box art. I cut them out and keep them.

Those Wright wrenches look and feel great! If I wasn't "married" to and really fond of my Armstrongs at work, I'd love a set of WrightGrips. Have been upgrading my "at home" tools slowly but surely and hopefully can find the extra $ at some point to at least get new mm in Wright. Currently have CM and the CM Industrial that Sears still has on clearance. Not bad wrenches at all but nowhere near those Wright beauties. Enjoy Disney........It's an experience.

Well I couldn't decide between going with all Wright sockets or SK, so I split the difference and bought metric SK and sae Wrights plus a couple extras to get to 1". long handle flex 1/2" SK ratchet, 1/4 Wright ratchet, Norseman "super premium" 29 piece drill set, a Martin fender hammer and some freebies! planning my next order for a few things I forgot about already!

If you don't mind, can you tell me how the knurling look on that SK 1/2" long handle flex head ratchet? I have one from pre-Ideal period and it looks like it was thrown on a knurling machine a few times  So I am debating whether to send mine in for warranty.

Stooge and Chiz, would either of you gentleman minding taking a picture of the tag of that SK shirt? I am curious to see if this was made by Bayside or by another manufacturer.

Thank you very much.

Im very happy with the knurling on this one, it looks slightly different than the way my older sk round heads and newest pre-ideal one but it all looks pretty uniform in pattern and finish, really nice actually

Stooge,

Thank you very much for that information. Well at least it's not made in PRC, but considering I needed the USA made SK items anyway, a bonus item is still nice. What makes me the happiest is that Epstein's was able to benefit from this.

The Armstrong shirt was Made in USA by Bayside I believe.

I came quite close to picking up a Armstrong metric set, but sadly I had to pass due to having to spend money on items I really needed. Budgets are not fun at all, but I did manage to buy most of what I needed.

I don't have a wife, but I do have a budget. At least I don't have to justify why I spent money I earned as that is almost as bad as having a budget. Some of the clothes that "celebrities" wear sometimes cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars and most probably aren't even USA made either.

Jeremy: I've been to the Harry J Epstein brick and mortar shop before. Best vacation trip of my entire life and one of the happiest time as well.

Received my order yesterday, which was a lot faster than I expected. Got a chisel for removing frame rivets with the air hammer along with a few die grinder bits. Also got the Armstrong 1/2" locking flex. Been wanting that for a few years now and finally got around to it. I've already put it to use on a Dana 60 and I am really happy with the length. That 1/2" along with my 3/8" flex are going to be pretty much the only ratchets I use anymore I think.

Got mine in today! Thanks Jori and all of the crew at HJE! Loved the vintage postcard and offset screwdrivers. Wasn't expecting those, I always appreciate a surprise. This was my first order but certainly won't be the last. Jeremy

SK 1/4 Mid-Length socket set (these are awesome!), Channellock Oil filter pliers and bent head diagonal cutters, Wilde metric feeler set, and promo items.

I was planning on picking up a 1/2" locking flex Armstrong ratchet, but couldn't swing it for Epstein's Day. They were awesome enough to include the shirt anyway. I'll be getting a ratchet in the not to far future hopefully to earn the shirt.:D

Jeremy, personally (and I stress that) once I bought from Epstein's, unless I couldn't buy this from them because they didn't stock this, I don't want to buy other other distributors anymore. No other distributor seems to but the copious amount of effort into providing extremely awesome customer service they do and few care about American manufacturing either.

Much, if not most of my order was special order, but I sincerely don't mind waiting. Jori and the Harry J Epstein work very, very hard and there is no hurry on my items. When this does come, I'll post images.

Minimum: Where is the Armstrong shirt made? USA made by Bayside?

Could not agree more! Cheers to that!

Made by Bayside in the good ol' USA.:rocker:

Speaking of shirts, if anyone got one of the more basic green shirts (like below) in Medium and would want to trade for the black racing shirt, PM me and I'll gladly cover all the shipping.

Minimum: Thank you for answering my question. So my hunch was right, those Armstrong shirts were USA made. Thank you again.

Yeah Epstein's is great and just a real treat to order from them. Part of me wants another SK Day or a Wright Day even though Epstein Day just occurred. I am ready and willing for this however.

I must agree on the customer service, the HJE ordering experience was great. I was just browsing earlier and looking for a few more items that i may or may not really need but want nonetheless.

Those Channellock PVC/Oil filter pliers are great. I've found more uses for mine than I ever thought possible. One of those tools that I never realized i needed so badly until after I bought them.
