Well, I would to thank HJE for another great Epsteins Day. Unfortunately I will not be participating in the future due to one small but distinct error by the HJE staff.

Instead of shipping to my office , they mistakenly sent my purchase to the house. I got BUSTED by the ole lady!!!

Nice knowing you all. Please pray for me.

Wright 3/8 DR 8 point socket set, 3/8DR T bar, and 3/8" slotted bit socket

Channellock smooth jaw pliers and e series 8" diagonals

SK 3/8DR impact joint, extra deep 9/16" socket, 1/4" bit socket. 1/4DR 14mm & 15 mm impact sockets.

CS Osborne 150-1/2 staple knocker (best upholstery staple remover made)

I will also say that what SK calls an "extra deep" socket any other maker would probably just call "deep".

:lol_hitti I've recently been having most of my shipments go straight to work, just so I don't have to hear about it. Best of luck to you bud!

Real sorry about that. If you are still alive, please let me know if there is anything I can do, such as sending an illustrated apology card to your wife perhaps.

I think a full set of metric and standard wright grips would calm her down!

It really wasn't a big deal but she totally caught me off guard when she said, "Your tools from Harry Epsteins are in my car." It was a deer in headlights sort of moment.

I am breathing today for 3 reasons:

1. Health insurance for her and the kids.

2. She needs someone to cut the grass and take out the trash.

3. She has no idea what quality tools cost.

I am glad you are ok. Nevertheless, I think this brings up an important issue. I will get my design team (my friend Charlie) working on some kind of "tool apology" card so that anyone facing this issue with the wife will have something to present to her immediately to try and mitigate future disturbances.

Plan on putting one of those in every box shipped to a GJ member!

Not mine. No one tells me what I can and can't do with my own hard earned money. For me, the way I see this, what a grown adult does with money they worked for and is legal, this ultimately their choice.

From what I've seen, most of the orders placed were USA made items, so at least the money used was for a good purpose.

Damn seldom will the woman voice her opinion on the garage/tools/hunting/fishing. Don't know anyone without a cost overrun on something - for the woman it is feeding & caring for 5 horses.
Her money, not mine.

  • Leeetle eety beety Jorgensen handscrews on top of a more common sized Jorgi.
  • More similar big n little, Armstrong 1/2" Flex and 1/4" Flex ratchets.
  • A metric ruler for my PEC combination square.
  • A quattro of drill/tap gauges.
  • A Bondhus 5/16" Ball Driver, which due to a brain fart on my end, is 2/16" bigger than I wanted.
  • In the envelopes are an assortment of small Norseman bits, the ones that break a lot...

Not in the pic is the Armstrong shirt and box art, which was a whale? talking with a dolphin.

Not that this really matters to me, but my order is still processing as well. I am in rush and this week has been horrid and knowing my luck won't get any better, so this is better this comes in August.

I am no rush as I know Jori, Steve and everyone at Epstein's is doing what they can. When you buy special order items, this can take a while and for any other company I'd hold to a far stricter standard.

Epstein's is different as they actually have ethics and actually care the customers, not just their money.

So Jori, I am perfectly fine waiting any amount of time, so long as I can support you. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate SK, Wright, Armstrong and Channellock for throwing in free items, but I'd buy your products (assuming they are USA made) regardless, but this just works out I am able to support USA jobs and one of the best distributors that exists.

What's the deal with iPad pics always upside down?

I dunno. Maybe try going to Camera, select picture, rotate, save when rotated the way you want it. Are you taking the pics with your iPad? I find I lose track of "up" and "down" quicky when taking pics with an iPad.

Those scrapers look good!

Did you read all the Geiger counter chitchat on GJ a year or two ago when HJE started selling them?

Squankum, I take pics with my iPad and i phone. Both do the same thing. The appear right side up when you view them. Only when I post on GJ they are upside down. I haven't read anything on the Geiger counter yet. I thought it mite come in handy, since we have been finding some Hot tubing out in the patch.

I still haven't gotten mine wright flex head ratchet backordered

mine too. I had ordered a 758 wrench set and 3440 flex ratchet that are BO'd. The wait just gives me more time to add other stuff to the order, must resist!

For some time, all the pics I uploaded here, I'd make sure I went to Camera, then Edit, and rotated some number of times, then rotated one more time to the right position and saved it again (because just going to edit and save doesn't guarantee proper orientation) but lately, I've been skipping that step some and not suffering any goofy rotation.

A computer nerd friend of mine sent me an email a few years ago that explained... in exhausting, nerd detail... why our future would have more photos that were sideways when they shouldn't be, but... I don't remember the... zzzzz... details... and it didn't seem to turn out that way. Very often, at least.

It should probably NOT begin with...

"I recall you buying a $600 pocketbook recently."

Who knows?
I received my order a week ago. I've just been too swamped with work to post any pictures. Maybe I'll have time over the weekend.

Ha! The things some people do to carry something or wear something and have other people see them. Status! OK, us showing each other our tools in the internet (and toolboxes, and garage, and cars, and...)... well, that's not quite the same. Really. Well...

Imagine somebody just carrying around a 32mm Snap On Flank Drive combination wrench wherever they go. Hundred dollar wrench, yo!*

Got my order yesterday. Included some freebies I wasn't expecting. I also got the box art that I asked HJE to surprise me. Thanks HJE and Jori!
