Wife and I are out of town on an un-planned trip to see her family. Her dad has cancer and isn't doing very well.

We've put our mail on hold until we get back so I won't be able to post to say if I've received anything until after we return.

I'm not sure I can do this next year.
I have been stressing since 12/14 about delivery of my S.S. gift, and still have no idea if it has arrived. Nine days and no delivery confirmation yet.
I am starting to think that somewhere in that series of screens on the "do it yourself" mailing kiosk at the Post Office, I may have gone wrong.

Is it possible that somewhere between " are there lizards in this box" and "are you a terrorist" I may have answered something wrong? Maybe I became indifferent after the questions about whether I wanted signature on delivery and before the ones about how much to insure it for, and I missed the question about " do you actually want this package delivered?". Did I say "No?". Hmmm. I may never know, since the USPS doesn't actually provide tracking information, just a tracking number.

I am hardly concerned about not having received anything, but am beside myself about being tagged as a flake for not delivering a gift as promised.

My day job, as stressful as it is, causes me far less worry than this secret santa exercise has.

Sheesh!

Steevo:

Have a beer and relax. Nobody's calling you a flake. It's the holidays... for one, the mail gets slow this time of year. For another, maybe the recipient has traveled for the holidays and will find it in the mailbox upon return.

steevo you flake!!! just kidding!

this is my first year and i got my gift and my recipient got his as well, but im getting kinda nervous for those who haven't received theirs yet.. i hope they dont come up empty handed as giving is a lot more fun then receiving! (well to a certain extent lol) Theres a lot of "i havent received mine yet" but few "oh **** sending mine out now or just sents"

=/ common guys if you havent sent it get it cracking!!!! or at least post youre running late, im sure we everyone will understand in this holiday chaos!

I checked the post office today - no luck. So i won't get mine before christmas day.
I would like to let my SS know, Between USPS and Australia post and our respective customs services (bless them), deliveries have slowed to a few weeks ETA.
I will post mine up as soon as it arrives.
its sure been fun being a part of this and i hope to be in it again.
regards

Haven't received mine either. I'm sure it's running a little late with the Holidays and such.

For those that haven't received it yet, Don't stress too much about it. We have far too many good people on this board!

I hope everyone has a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

There was a slip hanging on the door when I got home with my name on it. I don't think I'm expecting any other packages until next week. Were taking the wee fella to get his picture taken with Santa after supper so I'll drop in to the PO and pick up the parcel. Fingers crossed that this is the much anticipated SS package!!

Mine shows it's been delivered. My SS has not posted he has received it yet though, so I hope he has. He actually hasn't been on here in about two weeks.

Looks like the one coming to me didn't make it in time. Maybe it'll be in on Tuesday when the office is up and running again.

I can't wait to see what everyone got! I hope my S.S. recipent is pleased, as well.

Merry Christmas, everyone.

It's here! It's here!! Lol. Yeah, I m a big ****! Heres a pic of it under our psycodelic tree! Looks like Monty (the dog) is taking an interest in the package as well! I'm guessing there was no food inside as he just kinda sniffed a couple times and went on his way. Really looking forward to seeing what's inside!! :bounce:

Good news for my SS. Package arrived this evening from Oklahoma City.
I won't get to open it until Sunday night, because my wife and I are going to Napa valley for the weekend, but will post a pic when I do open it.
Thank you.

What is wrong with USPS tracking is that when I type in my number it tells me it was delivered in Indio, CA on November 3, 2009
Well, I mailed it on December 13, 2011, and it was addressed to a state on the East coast.
Works real gooood . . . .

I received mine this week and it is under the tree. We are hoping our 3 year old remembers where the camera is at, as we aren't having any luck finding it.

I don't like the USPS tracking either, it says dropped off, but no updates until AFTER it's delivered.

I like FedEx better than UPS, although I know LOTS of UPS drivers and NO FedEx drivers.
