I bet we could all get together and take care of whoever got shorted.

Happy new year everyone!

I think I'm the only guy that ended up not getting something from his SS. I only sent a note to BWP so that he knew about the out of integrity.

However, I've had an absolutely incredible holiday and, truthfully, I had a lot of fun putting together a gift for my recipient. I'm satisfied with that, alone - seriously.

I think the guys here are great  and that's enough for me.

You are welcome sir. Hope you enjoy them!

Have to send out a thanks to my secret Santa as well. I had a mail box full of stuff yesterday when we got back home for the holidays, and in it was a gift card to Home Depot. I am a big fan of gift cards, as it lets me get what ever I need at the time I need it. I also happen to have a Home Depot 2 miles from my house.

So... THANKS to my SS, Metal1313!

My SS has not yet received his gift but I will send out something else in the event that he doesn't receive it this week. Apparently from the great white north to NC takes more than a month. Sorry it didn't make it to you for Christmas Patrick,

I'm willing to send somebody who didn't get anything something :)

Haven't had time to take a photo of everything my SS sent me, but he was very generous and I promise I will when I have some time off work!

Is it to late to get in for this year?:lol_hitti Like has thrown me a lot of curves this year, my time on the forums has been severely limited, so I completely missed this when it was active.

Thats the spirit. I had volunteered to BWP even before Christmas to take care of anyone who got shorted.

BWP will decide how to handle the identity of the person who didnt follow thru.

glad you finally got it. i figured it would work well, and let you get what you need. i thought about some good welding gloves but seeing as i have no idea what size hands you have that was out.

Banjosavestheday, I'm glad that you have already got use out of the knife, I guess I forgot to put my screen name on the box!! My Santa was romanova, a huge thanks to him! He sent an amazing package to me that included a very nice pocket knife, some tasty jerkey, and some get cool bumper stickers, among some other cool stuff. I left right after Christmas dinner and haven't been home yet, but I will post some pics when I get home. Thanks again.

It looks like our Secret Santa has all but run its course and a good time has been had by all.

A big thanks goes to Blacknwhitepit for his time sending everyone PMs to get and keep this thing going. Thanks, Bud!

I, for one, am going to try to keep this in mind for this next year where I plan to give more personalized gifts to my recip. Maybe that could be a trend - hand made gifts. Maybe not the total gift if the SS doesn't want to or can't, but something personal in there to add to the gift package.

Whatcha think?

That's what I did this year - made stuff. I took a risk, not knowing if the recipient would like them, but I figured it was something that could be used and is different. I also included an item that I bought for myself so I figured if I could use it, so could my SS.

I've already got ideas of things to make lined up for next year. :lol_hitti

I did like you. Bought something and made something. I felt good about it and from what I read, so did my recip.

'Course, when we are making something, one recip might be a better fit than another, so YMMV.

I always have things laying around that almost any member here would enjoy.

Like that massive promotional wrench?:bounce:

Side note, I want some snap on stuff. I might have to order something from you if I can in the near future. Its starting to get to me that I dont have anything snap on.

sorry for the late posting but here is what I recieved:

the box under the tree (which I had intended to post before christmas but was out of town)

and the contents:

my santa apparently knows or looked up that I am a ford nut and a fan of the Ford GTs
I have been watering this one to see of it will grow into a full sized one but no luck so far. perhaps in the spring.
the old ford wrenches went in with the other ones I have, the new billings wrenches went into the spare wrench drawer of my toolbox.
and the tape measure went into the drawer with the others. its always nice to have a couple spare tape measures as when Im working I am the absent minded professor who will set one down and forget where I put it.
the hot wheel was cool, junior johnson is one of the all time greats of NASCAR. this went into my collection of hotwheels

and the lic plates, I do have a small collection of them. mostly from cars that I have parted out, so these get added to the box

thanks for the great stuff, my santa was Mo's Speed shop

and thanks to BWP for adminestering this. the SS exchange is always a ton of fun, I look foreward to it every year

I have not seen the member who I was santa for posting that they recieved their gift, so I am hoping they did recieve it

Some of us are still waiting...

I have been advised that it was shipped a little late by my SS, so I am OK with that.

I shipped mine with plenty of time to spare, but my giftee has not yet recieved the package...I have communicated with BWP so that he could advise the person in question.

Yippee !

My package arrived today !

I got a sweet pair of Snap-On adjustable pliers, and very nice little kit of PB Swiss bits & bit driver !

My very first non-inherited Snap-On !

Both these items will find a place of honor in my toolbox once I get the interior of my new garage finished & organized.

A great big thanks to my SS Ed_EOD from Eielson AFB way up in Alaska !

And thanks for serving.

I'm sorry Chris!! I will get things posted ASAP! Things are STILL crazy around my house! My wife is pregnant, and is starting to get sick, and I started working today and can only use internet at my parents house. (2 minutes from work). So I will hopefully post pics up tomorrow because, I forgot my camera today!! ARGH! I will just say..
AWESOME gifts! very generous. *Teezer*

Actually it was me. I run MO's. MartyO

I packed and sealed the box and forgot to put a note in. Sorry for that!

I had a real GT40 for you and then the post man drove off in it and I could not catch him.

Maybe next year!!! :bounce:

I am sorry that I am late to post my pics. My gift was way more than I expected

Two sets of Big Azz Channellocks. I didn't get a note with my SS's Screen name and I don't know if he wants his real name posted. Thank you so much.

Thanks for the great stuff Marty

When you catch that mailman, could you ask when he will be delivering it. I'm sure that's what his intent was.....

Thanks

The Big azz pliers were from me!

From my research...I determined that you appear to have everything you need... you like CL pliers...and you wanted a surprise. BAM! :lol_hitti

I received my my Secret Santa box today. I was blown away by the generosity of my Secret Santa Mr Shaun.

To start with, I found 2) Snap-on key chains followed by a Snap-on Promo hat, a very nice Metric thread pitch/diameter guage, 4 Texas liscense plates and the item that blew me away..................a new Snap-on PT-100 Die grinder. I am Absolutely amazed by the members of the Garage Journal.

Thank you for the great experience for this first time Secret Santa participant.
