One of the best things I have done was to buy a two wheel dolly, or hand truck. I also spent a little extra to replace the wheels and tires with the solid type, so I don't have to air it up all the time. I use that thing all the time. Even use it in the yard to carry garbage cans around. I use an old refrigerator for a portable scaffolding to work on my garage roof, and I use the dolly to move it around. I spent $5 for a ratcheting cargo strap, should have done all this 30 years ago!!!!

Jack I have to brag. I'm a life long reader and my step son,, who I raised, recently began working for "World Literature Today", in Norman OK. Not a big deal but I'm very proud of him and had to share

IDK if anyone has done this before:

Everybody keeps a roll of "cheap tape" floating around on the bench and you can never find the end...

We're cleaning out a floor in one of my buildings and when I saw a pile of these tape holders the light bulb over my head went on...

Two large filing cabinets for consumables:
Sand paper:

Adhesives etc:

Frequently used adhesives, lubes:

3 tier hammer rack out of recycled wood and hardware I had lying around the yard. One oak pallet, some old 1x6 tongue and groove redwood for the top shelf, 4x4 PT for the main structure, and Walnut for the side table that the Keystone hand crank sharpening stone is attached to. For the top shelf and side shelf I used some old galvanized simpson ties I had leftover from another project. I will be making some misc. hooks for it also. I already had all the bolts and lags to assemble it. I did have to buy the metal casters form a local hardware store, they cost me $5.50 each.

I built these cabinets and bench for the garage at my last house. I have them in a different configuration at this house (as pictured) but it actually worked out really well.

Cool. I have milk crates stacked in that area, but only about 5 because I was worried they would tip over if I went any higher. Didn't think of building an actual cabinet!

i built a cabinet that fits in between my garage doors, i store all my hand power tools in there.
