I am sorry you feel that way. I condensed my last post to make it simple.

Did you have an order that was OVER $300+? If your cart total is not $300+ the coupon code will not work.

Please let me know if it works.

I thought that was the issue as well, so I took my most expensive item and added 10 of them to make sure, and still same issue.

Please get on live chat when possible through our website so I can figure out the problem. It has been working and I cannot figure out why it isn't for you.

The only thing I can suggest in the meantime is to empty your cart and try re-adding the items again and putting in the "CYBERMONDAY-GJ" code first and then the "GJ-5%". The order shouldn't matter but you never know!

Regarding coupons not working for some: are you running some sort of tracker blocking software like Ghostery?

Hey there, no, we don't use any software like that. We are actually pretty limited on what we can do on our site in regards to plug-ins and the like.

Kelsey, I just tried to enter an order and I could not get the codes to work the first few times I tried. I deleted the basket down to a little over $250 I finally got the 5% code to apply but it doesn't appear to be calculating correctly as 5% of a $250+ order is not a discount of -$3.27. That is close to a single item discount in the basket rounding up but not for the whole basket so I maybe confusing what the discount applies to but I thought your GJ special was for the whole order. I may circle back and try it again if I can get some time this afternoon but just thought I would pass on to you my experience.

5% coupon DID apply to the whole order. It was not stacking correctly so I had to change the coupon and the 5% coupon now only applies to SALE items in the Cyber Monday Category. You would be better off stacking the regular Garage Journal discount (GJ0613-10%) with the 5% off sale item discount (GJ-5%) to get 10% off non sale items and 5% off sale items making it a better deal all around. So to simplify use these two codes:

GJ0613-10%
GJ-5%

This will get you the best deal.

Ok, I tried to take another run at it. The coupons you mentioned do apply unfortunately they don't apply correctly at least based on your explanation. I added 4 items to my cart; two cyber specials and two regular items. One regular priced item was 161.52 ( item # 069-34-376) so using my GJ 10% code that item should have a 10% discount applied based on your summary. It does not. The order had the proper 5% discount applied but not the 10%. All of my discount amounted to less than $6.00. My guess is that could be a stacking issue. I tried to engage the live chat to have you take a look but nothing happened so it certainly could be an issue on my end.

I am a pretty patient guy and while the discounts were not a huge deal the frustration of why it wasn't working correctly finally made me throw in the towel. You guys have been great in the past on my previous orders and have been done a good job of customer support on the GJ so I will be back. I would however recommend working out some kinks as sometimes you only get one shot at a new customer.

The coupon code was disabled for about an hour yesterday due to us trying to fix the problem. You probably tried to place the order sometime in between us messing with them!

I noticed that the coupon code cybermonday-gj did not take 30% off any gearwrench items that contained a ratchet or drive tool, but worked fine on items without(socket only sets in my case). I even tried adding speeders, breaker bars, and extensions and it excluded those as well. I ended up switching out a couple items on my wish list and sticking to socket only sets this time around. Hope this helps troubleshoot the issues others and I were seeing.
