3 of mine were bent, one really bad 2 just a bit, one call to Apex they sent out 3 more that were perfect. I'm guessing since they are Danaher they are the same as the Matco ones.
For the trouble to check 'em over. Same as the ones in the store stamped "professional".
Just this past week, Sears had them listed online for 68.** w/free shipping. And as always, the 5 off 50 applied. I ordered a set and will report back once they arrive whether or not they're still Made in U.S.A.
The 10 pc on-line set is also USA, but you get 2 larger metric wrenches with the 12 pc set for not much more. Don't ask me how I know this. The 6-piece sets in store are china, so if you want USA make sure to get the online-only 12 pc set
Any suggestions on a good set?
I passed on a HUGE set from Facom this week at Amazon, it was $49, very similar to Stahlwille and I believe it was like 8-32mm.
I love Stahwille, found at Advance Auto with coupons online for $120. I passed on a HUGE set from Facom this week at Amazon, it was $49, very similar to Stahlwille and I believe it was like 8-32mm. The Stahwille is expensive but it's not quite Snap-On money and most of my wrenches are SO but in deep offset the Stahwille is notably superior.
I'm sorry; what was the question? I was distracted by an Avatar...![]()
Amazon for Facom? Really?
I also have the 0 degree Matco wrench set in metric and they are very nice, 1st wrenches i grab outta the box, and can be had for a good price if you look around. http://www.matcotools.com/catalog/p...INT-EXTRA-LONG-ZERO-DEGREE-OFFSET-WRENCH-SET/
Believe it or not, the Husky offset box wrenches from Home Despot are of exceptional quality. I picked up a set for the truck box, and after one use they ended up moving into the main box.
They've stood up to backing the TiMax as well as other flagrant abuse without any cause for concern.

I was going to buy a set but figured if I can get a deep box wrench on a nut/bolt I can get a socket on it.
