I like HF as much as the next guy, but they need to stop having people who know nothing about tools handle their advertisements...

so they typed the wrong item names in two spots. Anyone could have done that if they were in a hurry. Just my two cents worth. You should have seen what it was like when all the advertising was in newspapers. There were pages of corrections and retractions daily.

Actually only 2 are labelled right. The hammer and flat chisel. The 2 bits on either side of the flat chisel have their names backwards.

I think the most important part is coming up with the brand name "Chief". The actual tools are secondary. I dont think knowledgeable tool guys sit in front of a computer proofreading HF marketing

Milwaukke is about the same, not sure why they are comparing a new right angle impact to what seams to be a Snap-on brushed impact

Either marketing or translation or just poor marketing tactics. I’ve see worse mistakes. How about a brand new series Korean made 2014:Massey Tractor whose owners manual was horrifically wrong. It stated you had to run it at full throttle always for the first 50 hours for break in [emoji2955]. Strangely shortly afterwards none of that series came with an owners manual. You do have to wonder if anyone ever even proof reads sometimes.

Just curious. Where would you use a taper punch on an air hammer?

A lot of through shafts have a center drilled dimple in one end. Like motorcycle swingarm pivot bolts, for example. A few air hammer zaps with a taper punch can be a good way to get them moving without risking damaging the threads.

They can also be a way to wedge a gap open where a chisel won't fit, or to apply force to an inside corner.

Nice to see they include the flat face hammer as well. These are often needed, but for some stupid reason are not normally included in sets.

They work well for poking holes in sheetmetal.

When I worked at a quick lube in high school we would put all the used filters on a drainer at the end of the day and use one of these to poke a hole in them to help them drain overnight.

What do you expect? This is your usual I don't care attitude from Harbor Freight. Exemplified by their Icon ratchets recall from not getting it right the first time.

HF doing the right thing while Menard's is price gouging......

-----------------------------------------------------
Dear Harbor Freight Community,

As we’ve been following the news over the last few days, we’ve heard about the severe shortage of protective gear for hospitals, healthcare workers and first responders as the impact of COVID-19 is being felt across the country. America depends on these heroes every day and in the days ahead we will depend on them even more. At Harbor Freight, we want them to know that they can depend on us too.

So we’ve decided to donate our entire supply of the personal protective equipment items listed below to front line hospitals with 24 hour emergency rooms in the communities served by our stores.

• N95 Masks
• Face Shields
• 5 and 7 mil Nitrile Gloves
If you work at a hospital with a 24 hour emergency room in need of these items, please ask the office in charge of procurement at your hospital to click here so they can provide us with the information we’ll need to determine if we can make a donation. If you’re not with a hospital, but would like to give us the name of a hospital with a 24 hour emergency room in your community that might need our help, please email us at [email protected], identify the hospital’s city and state in the subject line, and our team will follow-up.

PLEASE DO NOT MAKE REQUESTS AT YOUR LOCAL STORE OR OUR CALL CENTER AND PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT HOSPITALS—THEY’RE BUSY HELPING THEIR PATIENTS.

For hospitals we’re able to help, we’ll email them a voucher when the supplies are available for pick up at their local Harbor Freight Tools store.

Although we certainly won’t have enough of these supplies to fill everyone’s needs, we’re going to donate everything we’ve got. We also recognize that there are so many other critically important people responding to this crisis and that there is need everywhere. We’ve chosen to focus our efforts on hospitals with a 24 hour emergency room with the hope that we can help as many people as possible right now.

Thank you and God Bless,

Eric Smidt

I just wish they'd come up with some more manly sounding brand names. Like their pliers; Quinn and Doyle? Every time I hear "Doyle" I think of the idiot cop on "The Mask".

If the innards are wired correctly[emoji1695] good enough. The main troubles I find with HF stuff like that is CORDS and SWITCHES. Switches in particular .

50 hours? Sounds like someone got tripped up on the conversion from metric time to imperial time.
