I have an R110BT Reddy Heater that is giving me problems. To get it ready for the Winter I drained and cleaned the tank (kerosene) and put in new fuel and it won't stay running. I turn the T-Stat on and the HSI will start glowing and after a few seconds the fan and fuel will start. It lights for about 15 seconds and then goes out. It has 5.3 lb air pressure, new fuel, new fuel filter, new rectangular cover and gasket, new hoses. I even jumped out the photo eye and it still does the same thing. Air pump and vanes move freely. What is left, I thought about checking it for Gremlins but cleaned all them out last year.

Jumped out the T Stat and it didn't help, still did it. I would usually have to unplug it so it would try to light again but a few times it would try to light every 10 seconds ( each time it would glow, fan comes on and spray fuel all at the same time) or so for about three times and then would have to unplug it so it could reset.
I'm about ready to back the truck over it. LOL.

Ha... may not be a bad idea. ^^^ Something about kerosene pooling in a heater that is not igniting and running as it should, would send me to the store shopping. Good luck :rocker:

I would suggest to get your heater checked to your nearest service station if it is still showing same issue even after clean up.

Each time it comes on it will burn the fuel it sprays it just shuts down after a few seconds. Could it be something in the pc board, I wouldn't think so but a lot of you guys have more experience with these things. I can handle the pressure being off, the eye not pointed in the right direction, clogged lines etc etc but this one has me stumped.

World of wonders I fixed it. One problem was I believe was dirty fuel, I drained and cleaned the tank. I had replaced several things on it such as a cracked rear cover, fuel lines and had jumped out the photo eye. Well, after seeing it in another post about the photo eye reading the color of the flame instead of just seeing the flame. I took my jumper for the photo eye off and hooked the eye back up and it read the color of the flame and runs perfect now. Thanks for everyone's advice.
