OH10-X Two Post

Just to share an experience with anyone wanting to purchase a two post lift. I bought the ATLAS OH10-X lift because of the wide drive through dimensions so I could utilize the space as parking while not in use. I chose the Symmetric style arms cause I have a crew cab super duty and wanted the extra balance of lifting a heavy vehicle.

The issue that I am having is the lift arms are too long for my smaller vehicles: Ford Focus, Audi Q5. So for anyone considering a two post lift for smaller vehicles take my mistake and purchase the Asymmetric.

A little Devil on my shoulder says just to place a wood block on top of the arm with a rubber pad on top to lift the car using the lifting point; but thankfully I haven't listened.

Thanks for that info, I’ve been lookin at the PV12 because I have a couple one ton service trucks. But wife drive a A4 and the kids husbands have a couple Subaru’s that the use for hunting that they beat on badly. Do you have any pictures of how bad the arms miss?

Each vehicle is a little different, but its about 7 inches. I'll take a picture and post

A little Devil on my shoulder says just to place a wood block on top of the arm with a rubber pad on top to lift the car using the lifting point; but thankfully I haven't listened.

You know, I do that when I need to. I don't have a big lift, but I picked up a Lotus and an MG Midget with mine. The lotus was a monocoque body tub and we just do what we have to.

I have the same lift. It works normally on most of my vehicles. For the small cars I have used hockey pucks on the main arms to pick up at the pinch weld lift points. Same devil on my shoulder, I guess, but its worked just fine.

No harm at all in doing this, as long as you don't lift on a plastic rocker trim or other part.....I work in a dealership, and sometimes we run into the same issue.
