ohio forge vise

As a new member of this group, I can only hope that this is the proper place to post a question. If not, please excuse my error. I have a nice machinist vise made by Ohio Forge; no other marking on the item. 6" jaws and it appears to be welk made. Q: has anyone have any knowledge of this brand? Foreign made, or USA? Hope to hear from someone. Tom in Vermont.

Ohio Forge was a "house brand" within Home Depot quite a few years ago. I don't recall seeing that brand anytime within the last 5 or 10 years. I believe it's Taiwan made - this was before the big move to China made.

I actually have one of Ohio Forge vises as a spare in the basement. I know it is at least 25 years old, as I bought it new years ago.
