I purchased this oil drain pan at least 15 years ago if not more. Do not know where I bought it or how much I paid. I liked it as it was somewhat deep and had two drain holes to prevent burping and was long. I have used it for at least 10 oil changes a year, five cars, three sons with cars and my three vehicles. Easy to place under the car and I liked the end drain plug. The three unique screw plugs wore out and broke, but the pan was in excellent shape. I looked on Amazon and read reviews on the pan. Someone mentioned that they called the company with the same issue and they sent them new plugs for free. I contacted the Midwest Can Company in Chicago, Yes made in the USA, and they sent me three new plus for free in four days. You cannot ask for better company service!

I appreciate your post, there's not a lot of products that deserve mention anymore. When they do "show up", it's important to give them the credit that they deserve. 👍

Never done diy oil changes at my house until a few months ago when I bought a newer 4 runner. Recently bought a drain pan from Walmart but wish I had gotten one of these for sure

Although I like your choice and am not knocking it. I have used several different kinds over the years especially working in a Heavy Equipment shop where we did it all and have seen it all. Most of the larger pieces of Equipment used several Gallons of Fluid and Larger containers from 15-20 Gallon oil Dollies with wheels to smaller 5-7 Gallon Slide pans would be used.
At home I like the smaller 4-5 gallon round slide pans with a drain spout that can be put into a plastic 1- 2 1/2 gallon jug for easy transport to dispose of properly and it really keeps it simple for me. IMO!
