Oil Question on New Ingersoll Rand Compressor

I just got my new compressor setup tonight and filled it with oil to the correct level. While letting the tank build up pressure, I noticed the oil has a foamy look to it through the sight glass. Is this normal? The compressor is brand new, it is the IR 5hp 80 gallon model from tractor supply.

Also, it seems to cutoff at around 170psi.....is this a setting to leave it at or do I need to adjust it down? The reason I'm asking is because a lot of the filters/separators I'm looking at say max psi of 150 and I'm not planning on putting a regulator directly off of the tank.

Thanks...

If you are using the Ingersoll-Rand All Season Select oil then everything is fine.

You can set the cut-off pressure by adjusting the screw in the pressure switch. the differential pressure is fixed at 20 PSIG I believe.
