Oil Stone Box

I recently bought some tools from someone who was down sizing. Amongst the items was a well used oil stone in a metal tray, imagine my surprise when I turned the box over to discover the following cast into the box. Photo might not clearly show the details yet to finish cleaning up the box. The writing says " Norton Oil Stone, manufactured by Norton Company sole agents Pike Manufacturing Co Pike N.H. U.S.A." Anyone have any information about Pike Manufacturing and how old this might be?

Steve

PBCampbell thanks for the link. It would appear that the box was made between 1899 and 1932 when Pike were taken over by Norton. So about 100 yrs old. Unfortunately it doesn't have the bottom part of the box however it would appear that that would have been quite thin so might have just been sheet steel.
