Looking for a small after cooler for my 27gal roll around compressor.
Looking at on of these 2

My concern is will those thin, flat tubes restrict the compressor pump,, hard to tell how much clear area those tubes add up to??

Also, How to hook copper to a "10AN flare" on the one cooler?
Is that a standard flare, can I just flare a piece of 1/2" soft copper and slide a brass flare nut over it?

Thanks,
Slack

I don't think that's a good idea.

There are usually some kind of devices "turbulators" is one I recall that purposefully smash up the flow stream repeatedly. Reason is two laminar flow streams don't transfer heat very well but you break it all up and get the fluid(s) stirring and a lot more heat gets transferred.

ANyway, I think you'll have more restriction than you want.

Hook copper to 10AN by a NPT-F sweat adapter, then get a hydraulic hose for your NPT to the JIC size (the JIC and AN basically are the same to interchange).
