Here is my shed, started it in mid june but am still not done. Currently spending any free time in house with newborn so progress has stopped. It has been a slow build with help being hard to come by. It is mostly from menards and I saved big money by them not providing me service!!!! Anyway I had time so heres a few pics, It is 32-54-11.5 with 2-12 inside pitch inground hoist too.

I'm in central Illinois. I plan to divide a woodworking area from auto side. I wrench all day but still like to be my own boss at night and do it some more!

Great roll-up doors w/ windows. Love the "commerical" man door also. Could be made into a "service station" look. I am finishing up a 40 x 80 x 12 all steel w/ 2 post.

Thanks fellas I got the glass door used from a local bar owner friend of mine but the problem is that its single pane glass that sweats like crazy cant beat free though. The doors were kinda pricey around 3k for the pair but this white box of a pole shed would **** without them. I had planned an overhang in front like a gas station but It just got way to pricey. I have spent way more than planned but I have learned that waiting till I can afford it could be to late to enjoy it! Hope to spray paint the inside next weekend so I can get some conduit ran and maybe light it up!

Nice to see the use of natural light. Good looking space. Speaking on experience, I would highly recommend pouring a concrete apron/driveway in front of the garage doors - extend the man-door apron along the face. It only needs to be 3' to 4' (though longer is better) but it gives a much better transition into the shop by car or bike and helps the tires shed debris that sticks to them, keeping the shop a little bit cleaner. Right now I have a piece of scrap siding I use for an apron approach to my door and I'm cursing the PO for not pouring it while they were doing the foundation!!!Helloooo!!!

I bought my first project for the new shed, hope shes a money maker. 2006 with 250k paid 350 and it needs a little turd polishing . Going on 8 months since I broke ground on this shed and it is still barely functional. I finally ran air lines 1" pipe bought off CL. Found out conduit isnt easy either. Slowly gettin it done hoping to have it work ready by summer. Damn glass doors let out the heat but you cannot believe how bright it is on a sunny day since they face south.

WOW, Totally not what I was expecting from the title. I have a shed you have a garage mansion there. Very nice, I really like the full glass doors. It really makes it bright in there.

So thats a shed? Damn, out here in California a shed is 14'x 20'. I like the glass doors too, perfect for that gas station look later.

I read it to where you were getting ready to paint ( No I didn't look at the date) then BAM!!!! Painted and looking great!!!!

I like the glass doors. I think it looks good with them over solid doors. One question, is the doors facing your house or is that your house in the pics? If that is your house in the pics behind the garage, why did you build it in that direction. If that isn't your house, do you have a shared driveway or just a long drive to your house? Make sense what I'm asking?

what way is the ramp set up, i know its like a piston ram, but how do you know when your lined up with it etc? it looks like a great space saver but im not sure id feel safe under that...whats it like to work under

The glass doors face my house, we built it in 02 when materials were cheep. I bought the 6 acre lot before prices went crazy, worked out **** for me. I have been waiting 10 yrs for this and just said if not now, when? My coworker body man built his 30x40 when he was 55 and I think he told me he wished he done it sooner when he had more go. I hope to kick some *** out here and make sawdust and sparks on demand!

It's not safe, it has swing arms and feet that flip up the reach truck frames. It's at least 50 yrs old but I like it for that reason. I am saving for a challenger 2 post for the other stall, won't be long if this van works out and I work hard on other **** .
