From the link you posted it appears that you have room to extend the garage? Looks like you need to go out the front or door/entry side of the garage? I extended the backside of my 24'x26' by 8' (that was all the city would allow). I now have a 24'x34' garage that can fit three cars no problem. Not sorry I did it either. By the way my first car was a 73 Nova SS. Good luck with the restoration and post pics please.

looks like you have a bunch of non garage/yard related stuff in there.

personally i dont use the garage for storage, in my last house w/o a basement we used the attic space, current house "stuff' is stored in the basement.

it took several times rearranging in my 19x22 garage to make a somewhat workable space.

if i'm working on my s-10 blazer trail truck in the winter, the wifes saturn vue sits outside. during the rest of the year she parks outside so i can get my harley in and out, and have a little more room to work.

i built my trail truck over a 6 month period during the winter, gutting the interior, building the cage, installing seats, harnesses, guages, fab'd the body lift, clearanced the fenders, swapped eng and trans.
over the next 6-7 years body was narrowed, fuel cell added, doors cut down, SAS axle swap, spare tire mount and rear seat mount were added.

all within the confines of the garage.

anything is possible if you want to make it happen..

Those wimpy shelves have got to go ! ;) Need to get shelves OFF the ground with some beef so you can put stuff up near ceiling.

You can build your own with 2x4's and then sheet with plywood. Or you can use Unistrut which also would make great skeleton with ability to easily change layout as you'll use bolts to hold down the plywood.

My vote is for Unistrut . . . . go to nearest wholesale plumbing supply company and walk the yard to see what all options for Unistrut are available near you.

look at pic the 2x6 on the front standing on side.... if i leave that off and put braces under would it be strong enough? -----l---l-------l <--like that that would be looking from top....
thanks paul im glad to be back on now that were getting settled in the new house....but i already miss the size of the other garage. the thing i like about this garage is the fact i can walk from house to garage with just walking out the door.... the last garage was like 200 ft from the house and was hard to get motivated to go out there in the winter lol....

I've taken to building a Sketchup model and trying different configurations. I've got my own thread where I've shared different options. Much easier to move garage equip on te computer than for real.
