I wash out cars every Sunday. I never take them to the car wash for a few reasons.
1) They salt the roads were I live. You go get the salt removed from your car and then you drive home through it. Then you park the car in a warm garage. Chemical reactions double for every 10c. And my parents were first cousins.
2) Nothing like a Monday morning getting into a clean car.
3) I can take my time cleaning the car, I also clean under the hood every weekend. One car has over 100,000 miles. I eat under the hood every Thursday. Car looks brand new, and no I am not saying that people general guess less than 1000 miles.
I take great pride in a dirty bathroom but a clean car.
