Hey a thread that I get to post in. This is a picture after I actually clean it up a bit because we were having a BBQ and it was looking like rain so we ended up in the garage. the only picture I believe ever taken inside my garage.

Just your run of the mill 2 car attached garage in suburbia, with repurposed junk kitchen cabinets and a badly cracked and sagging concrete floor:

I wish I had taken pictures before building my mezzanine and my "clean up". You guys are such amateurs. Although Mossy66 is on the right track.:)

Falcon67, very homey. I would feel very confortable in your carage: I really don't mind all that stuff. Very similar look I have in my "hobby room".

Mossy66, a fellow Vette enthusiast! Hi there! Here are mine!

Ok, so I know what you're thinking: "Just demo that floor out and replace it". I'd love to, but this is an 80 year old garage that has NO perimeter footing and NO rebar in the slab. Therefore the walls are built on the floor slab and I can't demo it out.

Fortunately, the reason for these bad cracks and settlement was water running off the driveway in front of the garage and flowing alongside it, undermining the slab. All this happened decades ago and it has not moved in the 12 years I've been there. SO, my plan is to demo out the worst offending pieces of slab, dowel into the remaining slab with rebar and replace the worst of it. Then I'll bush hammer and float some kind of cementatious product (recommendations appreciated!) to kinda/sorta gat a flat slab and I'll put in Home Cheapo 12x12 tiles ala Jack Olsen's garage to make the whole thing appear uniform and aethetically pleasing.

Dan, I don't want to get OT but you should start a thread about your floor. I'd love to hear the ideas out there.

Yeah you're right of course; sorry to the OP. I just got off on a tangent. The floor has BUGGED me forever. For the longest time I wanted to find SOME way to demo it all out, put down a vapor barrier and repour it, then put an epoxy paint job with flakes on it. But there I go again, OT. Sorry again.:lol_hitti

Heres mine..... Since most of my free time is spent keeping an eye on our 18mo old son I had to figure out a way to "contain" him while the garage door is open. Hence the wallyball net fence across the door.... works really well. Just unhook one end and roll it up when not in use. The garage is really multipurpose for us, part play place and it is also my photo studio. I have it set up to hang 9ft seamless backdrop as well as mounts above for strobes.

Now that is a shop! A good working shop at that. Just neat enough, but always ready for the next project. Good spot.

Those garages may be a bit messy but those cars are way cool, I love that Galaxy and the '65 Vette. That Galaxy is the nicest Ford I've see on GJ so far!

Jack Olsen, you look like a new man! Did they give you a date for your hearing or what!? Didn't recognize you without the hat. Big difference.

Latest addition, going to have to move the compressor and put the blast cabinet in that spot and slide the compressor down about 4 feet to the other side of the breaker box.
