This has been a long process but I'm finally close to starting the building I've always wanted. I'll post a long thread with photos when complete. I've had to demo the old garage...slab included, redo my sewer line $$$, move my electrical $$$ etc. All done by myself up until now. I wanted to do the building myself, never done one but am more than capable to pull it off, but have a shoulder surgery scheduled in a few weeks. Long story but it's held up to this point but no longer. So I hired a very reputable company to erect my shop. A 24 X 44 pole building, slab etc. Question is I have a large pool of people to draw questions from if I were building it myself, very experienced carpenters etc. But having the building done by someone else it will go up very quick! Not much time to talk with experts between phases. I plan to stop by daily during work hours and maybe come home early to check things out, but what are the big things I should watch out for before problems arise. Hopefully they won't but ? I'm pretty skilled and have an **** eye for detail to a fault, but have never done a pole building. So in advance give me some advice on what to watch for, and what to let slide givin the fact that I'm a stickler for detail. I must add the company has been great so far and are personable people that are timely to work with. Holes are in place and the posts get set Monday. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.
