probably not 8x, but those types CAN be a bit faster.

you probably thought the locking index was just to reach around obstructions. its not.

when unlocked. it allows a "pumping action" (like those stupid shake weights) or similar to those elbow wrenches at sears. once loosened, the handle can be pushed and pulled straight.

ratchet works similar.

they are the same thing, and decent for the price.

You're right...that's exactly what I thought. Thanks for the video and explanation...I'm not sure what to think about it now.

I have one ,no faster. You can only pump your arm just so fast and there is no gearing up effect going on there.

As with most tools you arent familiar with, not necessary for 99% of work, but comes in handy on a rare occasion. not even task critical for most applications, may just save a bit of time on a tedious job, that can still be completed with regular tools.

for the price at lowes or harbor freight (same thing) not terrible, as it still performs as a regular ratchet, albeit thick. inside of pivot looks like round head ratchet, but both pawls lock solid.

It never ceases to amaze me, the length's manufacturers will go to
to find solutions to problems that don't exist. :headscrat

Then the marketing department, trying to justify their existance, get
busily to work inventing USP's for the "new exciting product" which
are just complete and absolute ********.

It happens in every single industry, and it must work or they would
stop.
