You guys sometimes astound me with the deals you dig up on new merch. Im looking for a specfic tool. Mitutoyo Absolute digital calipers. Part number 500-196-20. That is the 6" coolant proof IP67 model without data port. Who has the best deal? Please dont post the clown that has them on eBay for $20 shipping straight from China. Mitutoyo is made in Japan. The guys at work keep telling me that they paid $85-90 for them, but I cant find them under $130. Help a guy out? Thanks guys. Keith

500-196-20 is not the IP67 model.

I think you are looking for the 500-752-10 model.

Wait for the next 25% off coupon at zoro.com.

Thank you for showimg me the right part number. The coolant proof is real important to me the stuff we use is nasty! It seems to kill all the digital calipers that come into the shop other than the Mitutoyo ones.

I knew when I started machining that the tools would not be cheap, much like when I was a auto tech. However the snap-on guy only wanted $50 a week. No weekly payments on this stuff!!!

Never been on Zoro site before. Its a little hard to navigate on my tablet. Im hoping I have better luck on my lap top. I punched in the MFG number and got way to many results. Keith

Yep on my lap top I put that in the search bar and it pops right up, however if I put it into the MFG# search bar I get a ton of results On the android tablet (hate that thing) I used the main search and got the same results as the MFG bar on the laptop. Anyway I have the right page. How often do they do the 25% sales? I'm hoping to get this ordered in next week or so if a deal pops up. However I should order it now. This is for work not home. Wanted to share that after reading this I thought to myself, " What is this guy doing that he would get anti-freeze on the calipers? ". The thought of machining never even entered my mind. I agree with zoro and 25% off as well.

Even with 25% off, I don't think you could come close to $80-90 unfortunately. Your coworkers may have gotten them a while ago when they were cheaper.

That's pretty much what I'm thinking. A lot of these guys have been making chips for 25-30 years. Or they are not talking about the coolant proof model that they use on the inspection benches, I need it for setting up the screw machines, I'm covered in that stuff up to my elbows while doing set up, and just past my wrists while they are running. I inspect 6 parts for every 100 I produce. With a part coming off my machine every 6-7 seconds, I do a lot of measuring. Keith

Yep these were in the $100 range around '08 when I bought mine, if you watched carefully at Enco, and that may have been w a 20% code. Now they're considerably more.
