I've been using bag balm for years now. It works very well, but smells like ****. It's also very greasy and never fully rubs into your hands. When i put it on, i have to wear gloves if i want to use the puter or touch anything in the house. I'd like to be able just to put it on before bed, but as soon as i get home, my hands are burning..

I bought some O'Keeffe's today because the smell was driving me and the wife mad. There is no smell at all! And after 5 minutes of rubbing it in, my hands are dry and kinda grippy. My hands feel so much better using the o'keeffes. I can't believe it took me this long to try it. For you bag balm users, you should really give this stuff a shot for the 8 bucks.

Just got some of the O'Keeffe stuff. Wasn't very expensive. I like it so far. Think I found it at Walmart.

The cost was not to high it was more for the amount and time it last I though it was pricey. Ill keep paying it as it works the best for me. 1 at home 1 at work. Last 2 weeks.

That's about 2 bucks a day. Cheap price to pay for non cracked hands.

I just bought some last night. I handle lots of boxes that are coated to repel moisture.... just ***** the moisture out of your hands. Combine that with a little garage work, and scrubbing of hands and I've had days where my webbing between my fingers just splits if I open my hand too far. Never liked the oiliness moisturizer leaves, although I have been reduced to slathering my hands and putting on gloves to sleep. This stuff seems to work in well with next to ne residue or smell. Stings at first in the worst areas. Will be interesting to see after a week or so....

Oh, heads up- 6 bucks at Harbor Freight. We were in there for a gear puller last night and I saw it, handed my wife a few buck and a 25% off coupon, made it a little less than $5 .... gotta work the coupins, lol.

I've never tried either, but a co-worker had very dry / cracked hands. He said that if he tried a new hand lotion & it burned when he applied it.... he threw the whole bottle right in the trash. If it burns, that means it contains alcohol & it will not help your hands at all. (in case you try new brands)

I use bag balm and cloth band aids to keep the worst areas from tearing open too far. I tried the Okeeffe's and I was not as impressed with it. Bag balm works so well and my hands feel sooo much better when it is applied. If it can keep a cow test from cracking, it should be able to keep my hands crack free too. I did where gloves last night too! I had two thumb cracks, a random split on one finger and the sides of both index fingers were opened up.

I use fluid film. Does a good job of conditioning my boots, keeping battery connections clean and my hands smooth.

I use Burt's Bees hand cream at night and Gold Bond during the day. The Gold Bond absorbs really fast and isn't greasy.
