Looking for some help on choosing a builder in the Tulsa area.

I am getting 50 acres and will need to put up a building for my hobbies. I'm thinking of a 30 x 50 x 12. Haven't really decided on a metal building or a pole barn as of yet. Guess it depends on the psf cost.

It will be built out in the country, so I don't have all the restrictions that the city folks do :D

Any help would be great.

Give boco builders a look. They did mine. Not too bad of quality and the best price around. They are headquartered right in your neck of the woods.

I used Gober Construction out of Seminole. I had them build a 30x50x12. The end result turned out nice. I am happy with the price, construction and quality, but had issues with scheduling. They originally told me 4-6 weeks from signing the contract but didn't show up to start for 13 1/2 weeks. Took 4 days to build for 3 guys. Some materials were not shipped and had to be sourced during the build. They told me the concrete crew would be 2 weeks behind the building crew but they showed up the next week, so that made up a week.
If you're worried about a schedule, I would probably not use them. They did beat any price that I could find though.
My wifes cousing just had a 30x60x14 built and they were 6-8 weeks behind on his also.
I am 200 miles away from Seminole, but I doubt your closer proximity would make a difference.

Can't believe I got only 4 responses and 2 of those were from out of state.

Guess no one is putting up pole barns in the Tulsa area or there just isn't enough people on this forum from my area.

Can I change my request?

Can anyone let me know who not to use to build a pole barn in the Tulsa area?

No particular vendor suggestion . . . BUT . . . . I'd go TALLER than 12' so you can have a LIFT, along with taller doors, including drive-thru feature.

I'd want 12'x12' (or taller) door on each end so RV could be driven through.
Maybe shoot for 14 ft walls ?? :dunno:

Good luck finding a vendor.

Building a 24 x 42 now just out of Tulsa. Building myself, so I can't help you with a contractor unless you need a dirt guy. Check with Adams Truss in Gentry, Ar for a package. They do either all steel or a hybrid with a steel truss and wood post.

CNGsaves - I haven't decided on the height just yet, but 14' is what I'm thinking.

whitehatch - Thanks for letting me know who is building your, good luck with the building.

Original Guster - Is yours a pole barn, metal building or hybrid?

Both National Barn (Central Division) and BCI Barn Builders are pole barn builders near Broken Arrow. I went with National for my 30X60 and have been very happy with it.

My building is a hybrid- 6x6 wood poles with steel trusses. I also used Post Protectors on the posts. No worries about post rot.

BTW, BCI (Burrows) no longer builds, they only supply materials.

30x50x12. 11' interior height, but I used scissor trusses and have over 13' in the middle. My doors are in the sidewall, so the tallest part of the car when on a lift will be in the middle of the building.
